2011 Best Makeup Nominees Announced
The 2011 Academy Awards nominees for Best Makeup have been announced!
The Wolfman
Is Rick Baker ever not on the nominee list at the Oscars? This year, he and Dave Elsey are among the three films nominated for the prestigious award.
The Way Back
Edouard F. Henriques, Gregory Funk and Yolanda Toussieng are nominated for The Way Back, a film about escaped prisoners that must walk 4,000 miles through Siberia, into India. The artists on set had to simulate injury, disease, and starvation while taking into account the extreme weather conditions the characters face, while staying true to the 1940′s time period. Wow.
Barney’s Version
Adrien Morot is on the list of nominees for his work in Barney’s Version. Morot did a fantastic job at gradually aging Paul Giamatti’s character by 40 years.
