Katy Perry to Release a Nail Polish Collection
First Biebs, then Serena Willams (which I’m not even going to get into at the moment), now Katy Perry. It seems like celebrity nail polish collections are become the new celebrity perfumes!
Unlike Justin Bieber, Katy Perry actually has grounds for such a collaboration. Her nails are always super fierce thanks to her amazing manicurist, Kimmie Kyees.
The Katy Perry Collection by OPI includes five shades:
Teenage Dream (a dreamy pink glitter)
Not Like the Movies (a sultry silver)
Last Friday Night (a fierce glittery blue)
The One That Got Away (an amazing deep berry)
Black Shatter
I’m actually really excited about Black Shatter!! It’s a new top coat that creates a cracked leopard pattern when it dries over nail lacquer!

Diane Von Furstenberg to Launch a Line of Cosmetics
Diane Von Furstenberg has signed a deal with ID beauty to launch her very own line of cosmetics, fragrance and skincare! She will be working with the former president of YSL Beaute, Chantal Roos, and the line is expected to be released at the end of the year.
Can’t wait to see what she has in store for us!!

Beyonce’s Clothing Line Teams up With Temptu!
Earlier this year, Chanel’s released a line of temporary tattoos (here), and it looks like Beyonce is following suit! Her brand, Deréon, has teamed up with airbrush leader, Temptu (love them!!) to create temporary tattoos her Fall/Winter 2010 line!
Love the Ad Campaign!!
The limited edition collection will be available on November 1st and will cost $16 for the basic kit. which includes eight waterproof tattoos. They will come in four different designs, rock n’ roll, spiders, jewelry and the brand’s signature fluer icon.
Urban Decay Releases Pro Size Primer Potion!
I’ve never been able to fall into the Urban Decay Primer Potion hype because absolutely cannot stand the packaging! It is bulky, unpractical and you waste a lot of product with it’s awkward design. The good news is that the company has finally released a new, pro friendly packaging for the infamous product!

I love that they’re shooting a Dolce and Gabbana makeup ad but on Pat’s facechart (1:00), she has MAC Coffee Eye Pencil, MAC Taupe Blush, and Cargo’s Reverse Liner. haha.
Gossip Girl Inspired Nail Polish
Nicole By OPI is releasing four limited edition shades in honor of Gossip Girl’s third season DVD release. The shades will be available in Wallgreens, Ulta, Target, and other retail locations in August.

“Scandals, Secrets and Sparkle” Silver
“Party in the Penthouse” Blue
Unfortunately, judging solely on the display, I am not impressed 
OPI could have made an amazing collection based off the insane characters in the show! I don’t see a “Gossip Girl” wearing these colors, and why are there two shades of blue?

Shu Uemura’s New Futuristic Lashes
Ravers rejoice!! Shu Uemura has released their newest false eyelash collection, Neo Tokyo Odyssey and these lashes are packed with serious sparkle and shine.
From Shu Uemura’s Website:

The Neo Sparkle. Each hair is coated with “diamond like” glitter.
The Neo Fringe- These come with a set of upper and lower lashes with silver and gold fringe.
The Neo Reflector- Silver coated lashes with mirror like shine. These are the lashes that appear in the Tokyo Lash Bar 2010 advertisements (below).
Unfortunately, like all of Shu’s premium lashes, they will set you back about $65 a pair..

Tom Ford to Launch Lipstick Line!
Tom Ford is everywhere!!
The American fashion designer started out as the creative director for Yves Saint Laurent and Gucci, and now has his own line of luxury menswear. Ford has dressed all of Hollywood’s leading men, from Brad Pitt to Johnny Depp and Tom Hanks. Aside from fashion, Tom Ford recently added “director” to his resume when he directed and produced the film, A Single Man.
He has already begun to tap into the beauty market with the launch of his fragrances several years ago, and now Tom Ford is moving into cosmetics! Private Blend Lip Color will be released in the US next month (June)!
The collection consists of 12 luxury lipsticks ranging from nude to bold (check out the red in his advertisements.. HOT!!). The lipsticks will retail for a whopping $45 each! Expensivo.
The Scoop: I have also heard a little rumor that after his lipstick launch, Tom Ford will release an entire makeup line, including nail polish! Stay tuned..
