Key makeup artist Pat McGrath had originally designed YSL’s makeup look with vivid purple lips but that’s not what the models appeared on the runway in. Last minute, McGrath changed her mind saying “the face needs to be more open and sexy” and makeup artists scrambled to replace the purple pouts with a creamy peach lipstick.

Love this look that Tom Pecheux created for Ralph Lauren! The upper eyelids were slightly defined with smudged liner while the brows were filled in for a full, natural look. The model’s cheeks were flushed and contoured with a rosy pink, and the lips were stained bright, tomato red.

At Rodarte yesterday, James Kaliardos gave models a warm, caramel toned makeup look. I love the bright red lips seen on Diane Von Furstenberg’s runway yesterday! In order for the lips to remain the statement feature, Kaliardos and his team kept the rest of the makeup pretty minimal. Matte skin and dusty rose cheeks were all over the Vivenne Tam runway yesterday. Makeup artists drew black liner on the upper eyelid, which thickened out and winged upward at the outer corner of the eye. I love this look from the Maisonette 1977 Presentation! Super matte skin and smoked out eyes. The eyebrows were erased and black shadow was blended underneath the browbone. The lips look like they were neutralized with a touch of concealer.
